Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant to support an elderly couple in their home. Your primary goal is to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being while assisting with daily tasks that they can no longer perform independently.

Key Responsibilities
Personal Care Assistance
  • Assist both clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
  • Provide support with toileting and incontinence care.
  • Help clients with mobility, transferring in/out of bed, and getting in and out of chairs or vehicles. 
Medication & Health Monitoring
  • Remind clients to take prescribed medications on schedule and document intake.
  • Monitor vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, pulse) as directed by medical professionals.
  • Observe and report any changes in physical or mental conditions to the family and supervising nurse. 

Meal Preparation & Nutrition 
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals tailored to the couple's specific dietary needs and restrictions.
  • Assist with feeding if necessary and ensure proper hydration. 
Companionship & Social Support
  • Provide meaningful companionship, engage in conversation, and offer emotional support.
  • Encourage participation in hobbies, gentle exercises, and social activities. 
Qualifications & Requirements
  • State-approved Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or equivalent experience.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Passionate, empathetic, and respectful approach to elderly care.
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist with physical mobility.Â
