JOB SUMMARY

The Count Room Lead is responsible for the smooth and efficient drop and count of all areas of the casino. Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within area of authority and reporting potential issues to Management. Guides Team Members to maintain compliance with internal controls and departmental policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collects gaming device drop boxes from HRM machines, kiosks, etc. while adhering to companyโ€™s Internal Control Policies and Procedures as well as local and state regulations.
  • Guide Count Room Attendants to maintain compliance with internal controls and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Records accurate count of each box in count system/sheet.
  • Prepares and maintains proper paperwork to support and reconcile all money and vouchers counted.
  • Utilizes count machines in accordance with guidelines.
  • Complies with all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations as well as maintains confidentiality where necessary.
  • Responsible for minor repairs and maintenance of Count room equipment.
  • Maintains general upkeep of Count room.
  • Notifies Supervisor of malfunctioning equipment.
  • Assists other Team Members in moving and safeguarding the box cart.
  • Always follow the Company Service Standards model.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Finance department.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications and ability to learn count room computer applications.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Must obtain and maintain valid Virginia Racing Commission License.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
  • The Team Member must be able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to complete repetitive motions, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, standing, bending, teamwork, basic math skills, use of a 10-key calculator, and currency counter.
  • The Team Member may also be required to lift, push, and pull up to 25lbs.
  • The Team Member is sometimes required to work with other Team Members in moving the box cart with a maximum of 400lbs.
  • The Team Member may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
  • The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, and smoke.
