Location: Covington/Burlington, KY campus

Position Reports to: Residential Operations Manager or Vice President of Residential Services
Position Supervises: Residential Treatment Specialists (RTS) and Asst. Cottage Managers

Minimum Position Qualifications:
1. HS diploma and three years' experience or two years college and two years' experience in human service field. Bachelor's degree in a human service field preferred.
2. Two years' demonstrated experience with youth required.
3. Supervisory experience preferred.
4. Must have a current driver's license and insurance.
5. Demonstrate proven sensitivity to the various cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of Children's Home clients and staff. Position Summary: A leadership position, committed to the delivery of the highest quality of services to residents, leading to their improved behavioral stability and return to the community. Functions as a member of the Residential Treatment staff, supervising and monitoring clients. Supervises, coaches, leads Residential Treatment Specialists. Oversees and ensures completion of all daily tasks, evaluates staff, assists in orientation and training of staff, and ensures agency licensing, treatment and policy standards are met at all times.


Essential Job Functions
1. Functions as the Supervisor of the assigned cottage.
2. Performs essential duties of a Residential Treatment Specialist as part of normal daily routine, role modeling expectations and skills for Cottage staff.
3. Monitors safety and wellbeing of all residents and staff on Covington campus.
4. Provides support/guidance and serves as a resource for all campus cottages and their staff. Completes random in-person rounds during each shift including check of the administrative building in the evening.
5. Assumes duties in other cottages, to assist in crises and to meet ratio requirements as needed. Assists lead staff in resolving problems and completing documentation and medication distribution.
6. Monitors and ensures daily schedule is followed, standards of care are met and agency policies enforced.
7. Collaborates with the Residential Operations Manager, Directors, and other department members as a member of the treatment team.
8. Performs on-going training and supervision for direct care staff. Utilizes daily camera review to assist with supervision.
9. Ensures the Therapeutic Individualized Phases and Steps to Success system is used and documented appropriately.
10. Participates in weekly cottage team meetings, facilitates meetings as needed and ensures minutes are completed and available for entire team's review.
11. Holds Residential Treatment Specialists accountable daily for completion of assigned duties, including time, attendance, performance, documentation and on-going engagement with residents.
12. Collaborates with the Activities Coordinator and treatment staff the preparation of all special events, including, birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, holidays, recreational events, outings, etc., including the purchasing of special gifts for the residents.
13. Is available to staff for consultation and crisis intervention (24) twenty-four hours daily.
14. Completes and documents daily inspections of the cottage and weekly inspections of the vans. Provides information regarding repairs, replacements or identified needs to supervisor or designee.
15. Ensures a safe, clean, supportive, nurturing and home-like living environment for the residents at all times.
16. Attends all required trainings as assigned.
17. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
18. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
