Position Title: Senior COTS Integrator

Position Location: Government site in Annapolis Junction, MD


Description:                                 

The selected candidate will work on a team building performance-monitoring solutions for systems. The candidate will leverage the Jenkins automated execution architecture for automated performance checks. The candidate will instrument different environments in order to capture performance metrics and will build software leveraging REST APIs to automate the capture of metrics. The candidate will utilize Elastic stack to tore performance metrics and develop visualizations of the performance metrics. The candidate will integrate open source and COTS products in a secure environment with PKI-based authentication, corporate authorization services, firewalls, and SSL/TLS communications. The ideal candidate must possess a good understanding of network, operating system, application, and end-point performance. The candidate must have strong communication and collaboration skills and be results-oriented. 


Qualifications:       

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Twelve (12) years of experience in software development/engineering  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related discipline. Four (4) years of additional software development experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.  
  • Experience with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana), including Elastic Application Performance Monitoring (APM) 
  • Installing, updating, and/or maintaining multiple Elastic Stack environments 
  • Creating and modifying Logstash pipelines 
  • Creating and modifying Kibana visualizations 
  • Instrumenting systems with Elastic Agent and Elastic APM Agent 
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry (OTEL) and OpenTelemetry Protocol (OTLP) 
  • Experience with Python and/or Vega programming 
  • Familiarity with web application technologies (e.g., html, JavaScript, web servers, and application servers) 
  • Proficient in UNIX commands 
  • Proficient in Windows 


Desired Experience:                                  

  • Experience with MicroFocus Business Service Management (BSM) tool suite: 
  • MicroFocus SiteScope 
  • MicroFocus Operations Manager i (OMi) 
  • Experience with AWS Cloud 
  • Experience with NiFi 
  • Experience with Jenkins 
  • Experience with Selenium 
  • Experience with Ansible or Terraform 
  • System administration background 


Required Clearance:

  • Active TSSCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph


Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $175k - $200k+++

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
