Costco IT is responsible for the technical future of Costco Wholesale, the third largest retailer in the world. The Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining, building, and operating Costco Travel’s global wired and wireless networks while ensuring compliance with security and best practices.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborates with the Infrastructure Architects to develop strategies and direction for network systems solutions using current and emerging technologies.
• Collaborates with the Infrastructure Architects to translate technical requirements into low-level network designs.
• Collaborates with the Infrastructure Architects to plan and recommend network hardware, systems management software, and architecture.
• Configures and maintains physical and virtual network infrastructure such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Implements and maintains wireless infrastructure for corporate locations.
• Analyzes network capacity and availability to meet networking requirements while maintaining a secure environment.
• Configures and maintains tools for network monitoring, reporting, performance, and troubleshooting.
• Handles Tier 3 support and escalations for troubleshooting of network infrastructure.
• Collaborates with the Infrastructure Architects to implement networks that comply with security and compliance requirements such as PCI and HIPPA.
