Software Engineers perform development work across the technology stack (both front-end/back-end expertise). They are versatile in how they can add value, demonstrating the ability to manage the completion of projects that involve databases, backend services, or the development of front-end applications. They should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of emerging technologies to support the development of new solutions. Software Engineers understand the full technology stack and underlying applications, services, and databases in order to ensure optimal performance.
As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex enterprise software solutions. Individuals in this role collaborate closely with technical and non-technical roles such as data modelers, architects, business analysts, data stewards, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to provide design, technical analysis, development/configuration, testing, implementation, and support expertise representing the interest of the business across the enterprise. In this role, individuals participate in and lead design sessions and provide leadership for ongoing development efforts on various projects.
This team focuses on work that involves both backend and frontend development, so having knowledge as a full stack developer is desired.

ROLE
• Performs development and optimization activities to support the implementation of a product/ application.
• Adopts engineering best practices to deliver higher quality and scalable solutions.
• Ensures solutions are secure, durable, scalable, flexible, and accessible; and proactively mitigates against production support issues.
• Works within the defined development processes and SDLC
• Takes part in the design discussions and updates data models.
• Participates in scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospective, showcases / demos, stand-ups, backlog refinement, etc).
• Ensures solutions are secure, durable, scalable, flexible, and accessible; and proactively mitigates against production support issues.
• Demonstrates strong understanding of emerging technologies to support the development of new solutions.
• Understands and escalates technical challenges with options and recommendations.
• Analyzes error logs, creates dashboards, and alerts, to monitor new and existing functionality.
• Supports and monitors production deployments.
• Regular and reliable workplace attendance at your assigned location.
REQUIRED
• 3+ years of current commercial experience developing with core Java technologies and libraries.
• 3+ years of experience with design and development of client/server and/or web-based applications.
• 3+ years of experience working with relational databases (preferably MS-SQL Server and T-SQL).
• 2+ years of experience with core Java, Java EE technologies (Servlet and JSP).
• 2+ years of experience with SDLC frameworks and IT best practices.
• 2+ years of experience with JDBC or equivalent data-tier framework, database design & development.
• 2+ years of experience with Spring and/or Spring Boot frameworks.
• Good understanding and experience with SOAP and/or REST based Web services.
• Experience using caching frameworks, such as Redis, Memcached, or Akamai.
• Experience developing applications using a headless CMS, such as Magnolia, AEM, Contentful, or Strapi.
• Must be a quick learner with the ability to learn and incorporate new technologies and concepts.
• Self-motivated, dedicated, and driven to succeed.
• Able to easily shift focus with changing priorities.
• Good debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Scheduling flexibility to meet the needs of the business including weekends, holidays, and 24/7 on call responsibilities on a rotational basis.
Recommended
• Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A passion for being part of a team, willing to self-assess to continually find better ways to do things.
• Experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment.

Pay Ranges:
Level 2 - $105,000 - $135,000
Level 3 - $130,000 - $160,000
