Position Summary
As a member of the IT Operations Management Team, you are responsible for managing, developing, and leading a team of employees. Your role includes leading the specific functional responsibilities of your teams, which involves overseeing team performance and deliverables for multiple IT Operations practices. However, your role as a leader within our organization requires more than the management of resources and day-to-day operations. As a steward of the company, you are charged with the development and execution of your team's strategic vision and plan and ensuring that your team's actions align with the larger goals of the company and the Travel Technology Department.
Costco Travel seeks an IT Operations Manager to manage our DevOps and Build Engineering teams. This will be a leadership role responsible for managing practice teams in a diverse Tech Ops organization. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader and technologist who is passionate and employs a broad range of experience. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to advocate for systemic change to improve delivery efficiency and quality of our services and technology solutions.
As the primary conduit between your employees and upper leadership, your role in communicating and modeling the values and guiding principles of our company culture is of vital importance. All members of IT Management should strive to consciously and consistently foster a culture of engagement, trust, and "open door" communication.
Job Duties/Essential Functions

Required:
• 5+ years' experience with delivering technology solutions.
• 3+ years in a supervisory or technical leadership role focused on technology operations.
• 3+ years with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery automation implementations.
• 3+ years' experience leading teams supporting infrastructure and enterprise services such as SQL Server, Enterprise Monitoring solutions, security and compliance remediation.
• 3+ years' experience with highly automated virtualized infrastructure.
• 3+ years' experience with fulfilling compliance and security requirements.
• Experience in working with complex modern SaaS platforms and applications.
• Leadership Development 101 (within one year); Costco Pay Policies (within 90 days of promotion).
• HIPAA Training and Supervisors Orientation (within 30 days of hire); Leadership Development 101 (within one year); Costco Pay Policies (within 90 days of promotion).
Recommended:
• Previous experience managing DevOps Engineers is preferred.
• Minimum - Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree (BSCS) preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Workspace applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Successful internal candidates will have spent one year or more on their current team.
