Job Title: Senior Cost Analyst
Job Location: Williamsport, PA
Stellant is looking for a full-time Senior Cost Analyst. This role will be responsible for analyzing production and development costs and operational data, maintaining historical records of product cost actuals and project financial margins, and supporting proposal team development of labor hour and material cost basis of estimates in response to customer RFQ's. This will require close working relationships with operations, engineering, supply chain, IT, accounting, pricing, and senior management.
Responsibilities
• Analyze cost transactions and product costs via project cost ledger actuals for direct labor, direct material, and overheads.
• Analyze product costs and variances via production order actuals, work with operations to identify areas of improvement.
• Analyze project costs, cost of sales, and inventory for accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain trend data for all product groups (eg, labor HPU, material cost per unit).
• Prepare and obtain functional approval for cost estimates in a timely manner, sometimes expedite when needed in this fast-paced working environment.
• Evaluate supplier history and supplier trends, support Supply Chain initiatives.
• Review Bill of Materials (BOM), assembly drawings, engineering change notices (ECN) and technical files.
• Prepare Consolidated Bill of Materials (CBOM) and Basis of Estimates (BOEs) per FAR Table 15-2 in support of proposal pricing.
• Support risk and opportunity assessment, quantification, and analysis during the proposal process.
• Assist in the development of ERP improvements including cost reporting.
• Assist in preparing financial forecasts and budgets as required.
• Assist in the month-end close process as required.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree (BA) in Accounting, Business, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 6 or more years of related experience, or a graduate degree and 4 or more years of related experience.
    • Advanced Excel skills are required
    • Manufacturing ERP experience desired
    • Project costing, estimating and compliance requirements (eg, CAS, FAR) in a federal government contracting environment is desired
    • ASC606 revenue recognition experience desired
