Quality Assurance Technician

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for conducting final inspection checks on cranes deemed complete by the production department, in accordance with Tadano Mantis Corporation guidelines. This role ensures that all crane systems, documentation, and cosmetic standards meet customer expectations and internal quality benchmarks. The technician plays a key role in identifying and resolving non-conforming issues, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining safety and compliance throughout the inspection process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review the exterior of cranes for cosmetic appearance and alignment with customer satisfaction standards
  • Inspect the interior of cranes to verify control functionality and cosmetic quality
  • Operate cranes to ensure all functions are working properly
  • Verify accuracy and performance of Load Moment Indicator (LMI) systems (3B6 / AML-C)
  • Document non-conforming issues and report findings promptly to the Quality Assurance Manager
  • Confirm that all corrections meet Tadano Mantis quality approval standards
  • Review crane documentation packages for accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve non-conforming issues in a timely manner Support manufacturing initiatives including 5S, lean manufacturing, process controls, and cost reduction efforts
  • Troubleshoot quality issues on the production floor as needed
  • Ensure accuracy and calibration of inspection tools
  • Complete crane documentation packages including printing, reviewing, and scanning; report missing items to the department supervisor
  • Conduct all inspection activities in a safe manner to prevent injury and maintain compliance with safety protocols
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance or a related manufacturing role preferred
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to company safety policies
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawing
  • Willingness to learn and apply correct load chart usage and operational standards
