Company Description

IDEALFORCE has a CONTRACT position available immediately for a Business Analyst to join our customer in Phoenix Arizona. This is an ONSITE position. Client is considering only LOCAL CANDIDATES for this position. 


The purpose of this solicitation is to contract for a qualified Software/Business Analyst to work with the business units and the Information Technology Group within the COSC to develop evaluation criteria for selecting a new set of Financial applications including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) to replace an existing aging solution. The Analyst will also assess COSC operations as they relate to Trusts, Purchasing, Budgeting and Disbursements to determine if any or all of these tasks could also be provided with the selected software solution. In addition, the Analyst will be managing the process to prepare a request for information, submit the request and assist in the evaluation process to identify vendors with solutions that meet the minimum requirements outlined in the evaluation criteria.

The candidate should have a good understanding of Accounting principles and experience with financial application with extensive knowledge of General Ledger implementation. The candidate should be able to work effectively in a self-directed environment and show initiative and strong analytical skills.

Job Description

A. Learn the functional requirements for the COSC ITG, Finance, and Management Resources units as they relate to the financial applications, General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

B. Analyze Trusts, Purchasing, Budgeting and Disbursements functionality within the COSC to determine if a comprehensive software solution is available.

C. Develop evaluation criteria for a replacement solution.

D. Prepare a request for information and submit for vendor response

E. Assist in the evaluation of vendor responses to identify software packages that meet the needs of the COSC.

F. Act as a liaison between COSC and software companies.

G. Set up demonstrations of potential software product solutions.


Qualifications

Four + years relevant consulting and/or industry experience.

Demonstrated competency and skill with accounting principles.

Strong understanding of Financial application with a focus on General Ledger.

Must possess strong verbal, written and active listening skills.
