Located in the heart of the Dulles Technology Corridor-just 25 minutes from Washington, D.C.-Hyatt Regency Reston is the largest hotel in Fairfax County by guest room count and a leading destination for corporate meetings, conferences, and special events.

About the Role
As a Group Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for driving group business and maximizing revenue by developing new business opportunities while growing existing client relationships. You'll manage your market with an entrepreneurial mindset, proactively identifying opportunities, conducting impactful site visits, negotiating contracts, and partnering with operational teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Success in this role requires a consultative sales approach, strong business acumen, and the ability to manage a diverse portfolio while consistently achieving ambitious revenue goals.
What You'll Do
  • Prospect, develop, and grow new group business across assigned market segments.
  • Manage an existing portfolio of accounts while identifying opportunities to expand market share.
  • Conduct engaging hotel site inspections that showcase Hyatt Regency Reston's exceptional meeting facilities.
  • Prepare customized proposals, contracts, and presentations that convert opportunities into booked business.
  • Negotiate contracts and close business while maximizing hotel revenue and profitability.
  • Partner with Events, Revenue Management, Operations, and Commercial Services to ensure a seamless customer experience from contract through program execution.
  • Maintain accurate account activity, forecasts, and reporting using Hyatt sales systems.
  • Participate in sales strategy meetings and collaborate with teammates to achieve hotel-wide revenue objectives.

  • Hotel group sales experience, preferably in a full-service or convention hotel

  • Exceptional organization and time management skills
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Experience with Hyatt sales systems is preferred

Qualifications:
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of Hotel Sales experience
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
  • Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training
