About the Role:
Grade Level (for internal use):
13 The Team: This role sits within our Corporate Market Sales Team in the Credit & Risk Solutions business and is focused on managing and expanding strategic Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) relationships. The position is responsible for delivering credit risk intelligence and workflow solutions to a portfolio of large, complex Fortune 500 and multinational corporate clients, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to support risk management and decision-making needs.
Responsibilities and Impact:
• Drive transformational impact by owning strategic client relationships for a portfolio of corporate accounts, with responsibility for new business and expansion across CFO, Treasury, Risk, and Procurement functions.
• Navigate complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders, including C-level decision-makers, to exceed revenue targets through proactive hunting in new logos and expansion of existing accounts.
• Position our Credit Risk Solutions suite (analytics, scorecards, ratings, workflow automation) as essential to client workflows, leading high-impact client conversations by diagnosing challenges, framing ROI, and shaping solutions.
• Collaborate with Pre-Sales Engineers, Product, and Client Success teams to deliver tailored solutions and provide market intelligence and client feedback to inform product development and strategy.
• Benefit from high visibility with senior leadership and input into commercial strategy, working with some of the largest corporations in the world and influencing how they manage risk and supply chains.
• All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $135,500 to $175,500. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
• An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 10+ years of experience in enterprise B2B sales, ideally in financial data, risk solutions, SaaS, or corporate treasury/risk technology.
• Demonstrated success exceeding $1M+ quotas in complex solution sales.
• Deep understanding of corporate finance and credit workflows (customer credit, supplier risk, working capital management) .
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline .
• We require all external candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong executive presence, able to engage at CFO and Treasurer level .
• Consultative selling approach with proven ability to map client needs to tailored solutions .
• Exceptional ability to build consensus across groups with competing priorities and leverage networks for strategic alignment, demonstrating strong collaboration.
• Superior communication skills, able to articulate complex ideas, adapt communication style, and negotiate effectively across various internal and external audiences.
• Highly adaptable, capable of making difficult decisions and responding effectively to changing circumstances while identifying and minimizing risks.
• Demonstrates creativity and new thinking to develop innovative, data-driven solutions with a long-term perspective.
