Position Summary and Objective
The Corporate Protection Officer will provide professional, armed static security services at a corporate office in Redwood City. This role is responsible for securing the primary point of entry, maintaining a safe and controlled environment, and delivering a high level of customer service to employees and visitors.
The agent serves as the first line of defense and first impression of the organization - requiring a balance of security expertise, situational awareness, and professional presence.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Provide armed, static security presence at the primary office entrance.
  • Screen, verify, and log all visitors and staff entering the facility.
  • Issue and manage access credentials and visitor passes.
  • Maintain real-time situational awareness of all entry and exit points.
  • Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and security equipment from designated post.
  • Respond to active threats, emergencies, and crimes in progress with urgency and sound judgement.
  • Document and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security incidents.
  • Accurately maintain logs, reports, and entries in security databases or logbooks.
  • Enforce office policies, including prohibited items and behaviors.
  • Provide a professional, courteous front-facing presence, greeting employees and visitors.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with client staff and management.
  • Identify and escalate security vulnerabilities, gaps, or operational concerns.
  • Support overall office safety and security initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • California CCW (REQUIRED).
  • Active California Guard Card (Required).
  • Active California Exposed Firearm Permit (Required).
  • CPR / AED / First Aid Certification (Preferred).
  • High school diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.

Position Type, Schedule and Salary
  • Regular Full-Time (RFT), non-exempt position.
  • Monday through Friday.
  • 8-hour shifts (daytime coverage).
  • Salary: $40 - $45 per hour.
  • Located in Redwood City, CA.
