Overview – Business Immigration Paralegal Manager


A prestigious AM100 law firm is seeking an experienced Business Immigration Paralegal Manager to join its growing immigration practice in Summit, New Jersey. This highly visible role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys and major corporate clients on sophisticated employment-based immigration matters within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, extensive business immigration experience, and the ability to independently manage high-volume matters while overseeing workflow coordination and team performance. This position provides substantial autonomy, direct client interaction, and exposure to complex immigration strategies and filings across a diverse corporate client base.

Key Responsibilities – Business Immigration Paralegal Manager

  • Prepare, review, and coordinate a broad range of employment-based immigration filings, including H-1B, L-1, E visas, TN, O-1, PERM labor certifications, I-140 petitions, and related matters
  • Manage daily operations for high-volume corporate immigration accounts while overseeing workflow distribution and case progression for assigned team members
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for corporate clients by providing case updates, procedural guidance, and strategic support throughout the immigration process
  • Partner closely with attorneys to monitor deadlines, filing timelines, and client deliverables to ensure efficient case management and timely submissions
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior and mid-level paralegals through training, onboarding, workflow oversight, and performance guidance
  • Maintain oversight of immigration case management systems, government filings, client records, and documentation tracking processes
  • Coordinate preparation and submission of immigration petitions, supporting documentation, reporting requirements, and compliance-related materials
  • Monitor case activity, processing timelines, and government updates while proactively identifying and addressing potential delays or issues
  • Support large-scale immigration initiatives, corporate programs, and special client projects involving high-volume case coordination and workflow management
  • Collaborate with attorneys, administrative staff, and leadership to improve operational efficiencies and maintain high-quality client service standards


Qualifications – Business Immigration Paralegal Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required
  • 7+ years of corporate immigration paralegal experience within a law firm environment
  • 5+ years of experience supervising, mentoring, or reviewing the work of junior and mid-level paralegals or support staff
  • Strong experience independently preparing both immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions from initiation through filing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong client-service and relationship-management abilities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and high-volume caseloads within a fast-paced legal environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience utilizing immigration case management platforms such as INSZoom or similar systems preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to operate effectively with a high level of autonomy and professionalism
