Automation & Process Control Leader - Corian Operations

Within our Corian operations, we are seeking a high-impact Automation & Process Control Leader to shape and optimize the digital and control backbone of our manufacturing systems.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will own and elevate our Manufacturing Operations Management systems-driving safety, reliability, and performance across a complex, high-hazard chemical manufacturing environment.

You will play a critical role in ensuring our manufacturing systems operate safely, reliably, and at peak performance-directly impacting productivity, product quality, and operational excellence. You'll also lead the evolution of our automation landscape, ensuring long-term system sustainability and modernization.

What You'll Do

  • Own critical control systems: Ensure Corian Manufacturing Operations Management systems (DCS, PLC, MES) operate with high safety, reliability, and data integrity
  • Champion safety & compliance: Ensure all control systems meet DuPont standards, including PSM and cybersecurity requirements
  • Drive automation strategy: Lead automation improvement initiatives aligned with site safety, quality, and productivity goals
  • Lead capital & lifecycle planning: Define and execute long-term strategies to manage control system hardware and software obsolescence
  • Deliver impactful projects: Lead and support automation and controls scope for capital projects, including control narratives and execution
  • Strengthen operational excellence: Support plant operations through advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solving
  • Lead and develop talent: Manage and mentor a team of Automation & Process Control professionals, building capability and engagement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with operations, maintenance, IT, and engineering teams to deliver sustainable results

What You Bring

Technical Expertise

  • Strong experience with Rockwell PlantPAx, FactoryTalk View, AspenTech IP.21, and PCN hardware, including programming capability
  • Experience with GE Proficy MES systems
  • Deep understanding of process control in chemical manufacturing environments
  • Proven experience with Process Safety Management (PSM), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and alarm management standards
  • Demonstrated ability to develop control narratives and lead automation scope on capital projects

Required Qualifications
