Job description

Production Supervisor

Position Summary:
The Coretec Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations during assigned process operations hours. This role ensures production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The supervisor leads and supports production staff, monitors workflow, and serves as the primary point of contact for all assigned process activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise Coretec operations to meet output, quality, and delivery goals
Lead, coach, and motivate production employees to maintain high performance and accountability
Monitor production lines and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime
Ensure strict adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Conduct routine quality checks to ensure products meet company and customer standards
Coordinate with maintenance to resolve equipment issues and support preventive maintenance
Communicate production updates, issues, and shift handoff details to day shift leadership
Track and report key performance metrics (efficiency, scrap, downtime, labor utilization)
Enforce attendance, workplace policies, and disciplinary procedures as needed
Support training, onboarding, and development of team members
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Previous supervisory or team lead experience required
Single Screw Plastic extrusion experience
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control standards
Knowledge of workplace safety regulations (OSHA preferred)
Ability to work independently and make decisions during operations
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Work Schedule & Environment:
This is a split shift 12 hours
Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting throughout the shift
Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools
Familiarity with ERP systems or production tracking software
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to analyze data and make real-time production decisions
