Job description

Job Requirements
POSITION SUMMARY
To be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by: providing exceptional support to the assigned department. Partners with the assigned department to achieve project goals as assigned.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES
  1. Assists with maintaining a clean work area.
  2. Assists with area clerical duties such as typing, photocopying, filing and faxing documents, reports and other materials for electronic file transition.
  3. May place calls to other departments or outside organizations on behalf of department to assist with coordination of department activities if requested. May be responsible for mail pickup.
  4. Responsible for assisting with the maintenance of area files and filing system.
  5. Assists other clerical staff with clerical duties as time permits.
  6. Shows commitment to individual and departmental Continuous Quality Improvement and organizational operational effectiveness.
  7. Performs other duties as requested by area supervisor and area personnel.

  • Education: Current High School Student enrolled in Summer Internship Program.

  • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
  • Ability to read and write at high school level.
  • Ability to use or operate computer, copy machine, etc.
  • Ability to always maintain confidentiality and follow Health First's confidentiality guidelines.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work and maintain composure in a stressful environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks during a workday.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping.
  • Long periods of computer time or at workstation.
  • Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.
  • May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
  • Workspace may vary from open to confined.
  • May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.
