Seeking Nursing Assistant!

Baptist Health Floyd, 2F Step-Down ICU

Full-time (36 Hours Weekly), Nights (7pm-7am)

Job Duties:

We are seeking a Nursing Assistant who under general supervision and according to established procedures functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse by providing delegated aspects of patient care and routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks.

About the Unit:

The Step-Down ICU, also known as 2F, is a 16-bed intermediate level of care unit between the Inpatient Units and the Critical Care units. While the unit specializes in septic and respiratory compromised (COPD, PNA, Respiratory Failure) patients, there are also a variety of diagnoses, such as CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, Hemodialysis and Peritoneal dialysis, AMS, etc. Nursing Assistants will provide excellent care for a high acuity-based population. 2F is a great place for Nursing Assistants to cultivate and expand their skills. Due to the proximity and collaboration with the ICU, 2F is commonly utilized as a progressive steppingstone for Nursing Assistants to build a foundation of skills needed to be successful in the ICU.

Qualifications:

BLS for Healthcare Provider required.

Previous Nursing Assistant experience required.

High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.
