Taylor’s Construction, a Quanta Services company, is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support safe work practices across telecommunications and utility construction projects. This role will work closely with field crews, supervisors, and leadership to promote safety compliance, reinforce safe work behaviors, and support execution in active construction environments.

This position is best suited for individuals with hands-on field experience in telecom construction, utility work, or similar environments who are looking to transition into or grow within a safety-focused role. Taylor’s Construction performs both aerial and underground fiber installation, trenching, boring, and utility pole work, requiring strong awareness of field hazards and safety expectations.


  • Support daily jobsite safety activities including job briefings, hazard assessments, and safety observations
  • Identify unsafe conditions or behaviors and work with crews and supervisors to implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and client safety requirements
  • Assist with incident, near-miss, and hazard reporting, including documentation and follow-up
  • Reinforce safe work practices related to aerial work, trenching, boring, traffic control, and equipment operation
  • Conduct site inspections and support safety audits across multiple job sites
  • Communicate safety expectations clearly to field crews and support a safety-first culture
  • Assist with safety training efforts and onboarding for new employees

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a safety-related role, preferred
  • Hands-on experience in telecommunications, utility construction, or related field environments strongly preferred
  • Background as a lineman, groundman, foreman, equipment operator, or similar field role highly desirable
  • Working knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices
  • OSHA 500 or similar instructor-level certification, preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with field teams
  • Willingness to travel to job sites and work in outdoor construction environments
