Job description

In-Home Sales Representative – Foundation / Construction

Los Angeles & Surrounding Areas

Commission-Based | Majority Company-Provided Leads

We are seeking a motivated, professional In-Home Sales Representative to join our team.

The majority of appointments and leads are provided and scheduled by the company with homeowners who are actively looking for foundation, seismic, and related repair services. However, this role may also require occasional door-to-door prospecting and neighborhood outreach, particularly when working in areas where our crews are already completing projects.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with homeowners, inspecting crawlspaces and foundations, explaining repair recommendations, and closing residential home improvement projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Attend approximately 3–5 scheduled homeowner inspections per day
  • Travel throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas
  • Meet with homeowners at their properties and identify their needs and concerns
  • Enter crawlspaces underneath homes to visually inspect foundation conditions
  • Take photos, measurements, and document relevant conditions
  • Evaluate visible foundation and structural concerns within the scope of company training
  • Clearly explain findings and recommended solutions to homeowners
  • Present proposals, pricing, and available repair options
  • Follow up with prospective customers and close sales
  • Occasionally perform door-to-door prospecting or neighborhood outreach to generate additional opportunities
  • Maintain accurate notes and customer information
  • Communicate with the office, inspection, and production teams as needed

Physical & Travel Requirements

This is an active field-sales position, not a desk job. Candidates must be comfortable:

  • Crawling underneath homes and working in tight or confined crawlspaces
  • Bending, kneeling, crawling, and navigating uneven areas
  • Getting dirty during inspections
  • Performing multiple inspections in a day
  • Driving significant distances between appointments
  • Working independently in the field
  • Conducting occasional door-to-door outreach when requested

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong in-home sales and closing ability
  • Professional and confident communication with homeowners
  • Comfortable discussing higher-ticket home improvement projects
  • Self-motivated and results-driven
  • Organized and dependable
  • Ability to build trust without relying on high-pressure sales tactics
  • Comfortable learning foundation systems, seismic retrofitting, and repair methods
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Comfortable with a commission-based compensation structure
  • Willingness to prospect and generate additional opportunities when needed

Experience in foundation repair, seismic retrofitting, construction, roofing, HVAC, windows, solar, plumbing, remodeling, pest/termite, or other in-home improvement sales is highly desirable.

Foundation experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right salesperson who has strong in-home sales experience and is comfortable performing crawlspace inspections.

Compensation

Commission-Based

Your earning potential is directly tied to your sales performance. The company provides the majority of leads and scheduled homeowner appointments, so this is not primarily a cold door-to-door sales position.

However, sales representatives should be willing to conduct occasional door-to-door prospecting and neighborhood outreach when opportunities arise or when requested by the company.

This position is best suited for someone who wants the earning potential of commission sales, appreciates having qualified appointments provided, and is also willing to proactively generate additional business.

Service Area

Los Angeles and surrounding Southern California areas

Applicants should expect substantial daily driving and must be comfortable traveling between multiple scheduled homeowner appointments.

Apply

If you have a strong sales background, enjoy working directly with homeowners, and are comfortable getting underneath homes to understand the problem before presenting a solution, we’d like to hear from you.

Please submit your resume along with a brief description of your in-home or home-improvement sales experience.
