Job description

About WebPros
WebPros is committed to empowering businesses worldwide through cutting-edge solutions in web hosting, billing automation, infrastructure, server management, and online marketing. Since our founding in 2017, we've rapidly grown into a global leader, expanding our robust portfolio to include industry-defining brands such as cPanel & WHM, Plesk, WHMCS, SolusVM, XOVI, SocialBee, Sitejet and Comet Backup.
Today, we power 85 million+ websites across 900,000+ servers worldwide, backed by a 650+ strong team of dedicated professionals spanning multiple continents. At WebPros, we embrace a fully remote, borderless workplace with a focus on flexibility, autonomy, and work-life balance. Whether you prefer working from a bustling city hub or a quiet home office, we enable our teams to thrive from anywhere while staying deeply connected through our strong collaborative culture.
Your Role
Hi, I'm Michael Fowler, VP, Sales at WebPros and your future manager.
I lead the Comet Backup go-to-market effort - one of WebPros' growing products in the backup and data protection space, built specifically for Managed Service Providers. Comet is a fast, flexible, and white-labelable backup solution trusted by MSPs worldwide, and we're now investing heavily in growing our U.S. presence.
We're hiring an Account Executive who lives and breathes the MSP world. You'll be our boots on the ground - building relationships with MSPs, owning the full sales cycle, and representing Comet Backup at the industry events and conferences where our buyers actually are. This isn't a desk job. It's a field-oriented, relationship-driven role for someone who knows how MSPs buy, what they need, and how to earn their trust.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the full sales cycle for Comet Backup in the U.S. MSP market - from prospecting and pipeline building through to close and handoff.
  • Attend and actively work MSP-focused conferences and industry events to generate leads, build relationships, and position Comet Backup as the go-to backup solution.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of MSP prospects through outbound outreach, event networking, referrals, and partner channels.
  • Run product demos and consultative sales conversations tailored to the specific needs and pain points of MSP buyers.
  • Collaborate with the product and marketing teams to provide market feedback and shape go-to-market strategy for the U.S. MSP segment.
  • Meet and exceed quarterly revenue targets, with clear reporting on pipeline health, activity, and forecast accuracy.
  • Build long-term relationships with MSP partners to drive retention, upsell, and referral opportunities.

Your Qualifications
Must-haves
  • Proven sales experience in the MSP channel - you understand how MSPs operate, buy, and evaluate tools.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a field or territory sales role.
  • Comfortable with conference-led sales - you know how to work a room, follow up effectively, and turn conversations into pipeline.
  • Based in the United States with willingness to travel to MSP events and conferences.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice-to-haves
  • Direct experience selling backup, disaster recovery, or data protection solutions.
  • Existing network within the U.S. MSP community (ConnectWise, Kaseya, Pax8, or similar ecosystems).
  • Familiarity with white-label or multi-tenant software models.
  • Experience with CRM tools and disciplined pipeline management.

Your Impact in the First 120 Days
30 Days - Learn & Integrate
  • Complete WebPros onboarding and get deeply familiar with Comet Backup - its product, positioning, competitive landscape, and current customer base.
  • Meet key stakeholders across product, marketing, and customer success.
  • Attend your first industry event or conference as a Comet Backup representative.

60 Days - Contribute & Collaborate
  • Have an active pipeline of qualified MSP prospects and early-stage opportunities.
  • Deliver your first product demos independently and gather feedback to share with the team.
  • Establish a repeatable outreach and follow-up rhythm that starts generating consistent pipeline activity.

90 Days - Take Ownership
  • Own your U.S. territory pipeline end-to-end with clear visibility into forecast and next steps.
  • Close your first deals and demonstrate a working understanding of what makes MSPs convert.
  • Share early insights on what's working in the field with Michael and the broader team.

120 Days - Drive Growth
  • Be operating as a fully ramped AE - hitting or tracking toward quarterly targets.
  • Have a strong presence in the U.S. MSP community, with relationships that go beyond transactional.
  • Proactively identify new channels, events, or partnership opportunities to grow the Comet Backup MSP footprint.

You'll Thrive Here If You...
  • Love the MSP world and have a genuine passion for helping service providers grow their business.
  • Are self-motivated and energised by field sales - conferences, networking, and building relationships in person.
  • Are comfortable owning your pipeline and results without needing heavy supervision.
  • Take initiative in a remote, async-first environment and manage your time well across travel and desk work.
  • Are hungry, curious, and always looking for the next opportunity to grow the business.

You Might Struggle Here If You...
  • Prefer inbound-led or purely inside sales and aren't excited about travel and events.
  • Are uncomfortable with the ambiguity of an emerging product in a growth phase.
  • Need rigid structure, daily check-ins, or close management to stay productive.
  • Have no prior exposure to how MSPs think, buy, or operate.

How We Work
Team & Workflow: Remote, asynchronous.
Collaboration & Ownership: Self-managed work with a strong emphasis on being autonomous and proactive with good time management.
Our Culture
WebPros is built on diversity, not just in principle but by design. We've grown through acquiring industry-leading brands, bringing together teams from 42+ nationalities, 20+ countries, and 10+ brands. Instead of enforcing a one-size-fits-all culture, we embrace unique perspectives, different working styles, and localized expertise to drive global innovation.
We are a fully remote, async-friendly company where transparency, open communication, and collaborative problem-solving define how we work. Whether you thrive in the fast pace of a startup or the stability of an established product, WebPros offers a dynamic, evolving career journey that you can shape based on your strengths.
We are committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable workplace where every team member feels valued, heard, and supported - because our diversity is our strength.
Compensation & Benefits
We believe benefits go beyond just perks. At WebPros, we invest in your growth, flexibility, and well-being, so you can do your best work and build a meaningful career. While we strive to provide equal global benefits for all team members, some may vary by location, and we'll clarify the details with you during the interview process.
  • Competitive salary
  • Remote-first flexibility: Work from anywhere in the U.S.
  • Development Budget: Annual personal growth allowance.
  • Learning Support: Udemy subscription & peer learning.
  • Paid Time Off: 20+ days of annual leave.
  • Team Culture: Regular team and on-site company events.

Your Hiring Experience
Hi, I'm Zornitsa, your Talent Partner at WebPros. I'll guide you through the interview process, ensuring a clear, transparent, and meaningful experience.
  • Screening Interview (30 min) - An informal conversation with me to discuss your background, motivations, and career aspirations, and give you a clear picture of WebPros, the team, and what to expect.
  • Hiring Manager Interview (45 min) - A conversation with Michael Fowler to assess fit, sales approach, and MSP knowledge.
  • Home Assignment (up to 5 business days)
  • Technical & Culture Interview (60 min) - A deeper dive into your sales experience, MSP channel knowledge, and how you approach building pipeline and closing deals.

Our Commitment to a Diverse & Inclusive Culture
At WebPros, we want every team member to feel excited to bring their full, authentic self to work. Our strength lies in the diversity of our people, with different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences driving innovation and making us stronger together.
We are committed to ensuring equitable opportunities, pay, and support for all employees, regardless of identity, background, or circumstances. We foster a culture of belonging, respect, and psychological safety, where everyone feels valued, heard, and empowered to contribute meaningfully and grow.
Discrimination of any kind, including sexism, racism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and ageism, has no place here. By embracing differences and championing inclusivity, we create an environment where everyone can thrive.
We are looking forward to your application!
