Job description

The Cook's Helper is responsible for assisting the cooks in preparing recipes and food items in accordance with the Executive Chef's requirements. 

As part of our award winning team, you will help to create the romantic ambiance and classic European style that our most prestigious guests have come to expect from Paris Las Vegas.  Your stylish and playful attitude will entertain our guests as they enjoy 2,900 guest rooms, 295 opulent suites, 11 restaurants and the Eiffel Tower.  If casual sophistication is enticing to you, Paris is the place to be!
  • Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.  
  • Work requires a minimum of two years' experience as a cook. 
  • Work requires a neat appearance with good personal hygiene. 
  • Two years' fry cooking experience is required. 
  • Previous experience cooking eggs is preferred. 
  • Previous work experience with a point of sales system is preferred. 
  • You must be able to provide your own tools, including a chef's knife, carving/slicing knife, metal spatula, metal tongs, carving fork and a paring knife. 
  • Must be able to work any day of the week and during any shift. 
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and must be able to work as a team. 

Additional Requirements 

  • Work requires the ability to work from a standing position for extended periods of time. 
  • Loud, fast paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint.   
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting and reaching throughout the shift. 
  • Must be able to handle a heavy business volume in a timely manner. 
  • Work requires pushing carts up to 70lbs, lifting full pots up to 100lbs, repetitive stirring, extreme hot and cold work conditions, and bending at the waist. 
  • Nevada Health Card
  • Prepare, saute, broil, fry, bake and grill food items in accordance with kitchen needs.  
  • Helping to do preparation work; cutting, slicing, dicing, etc.  
  • Perform various job duties that will include in assisting the operation of grill, fryer, broiler, oven and French top in accordance with kitchen needs. 
  • Perform preliminary preparation work in a timely manner. 
  • Ensures ingredient supply levels are accurate.  
  • Move items from shelves to carts and transport them to assigned stations for restocking purposes. 
  • Maintains the required part of food items in their assigned station from support areas throughout the property. 
  • Understand proper safety and health codes and regulations and maintain them regularly. 
  • Ensure all areas assigned are clean and free of debris 
  • To assist with any other job-related duties that may be assigned.
