Job Description

The Cooperโ€™s Hawk Line Cook is critical to the success of the company and plays an integral role in executing a positive experience for each restaurant Guest. The Line Cook is responsible for the daily preparation and execution of food items in the pantry, fry, grill, broil and sautรฉ stations.ย  ย

What Youโ€™ll Do
ย 
  • Maintain Cooperโ€™s Hawk quality standards by preparing assigned recipes to specificationย 
  • Follow recipes, manage portion control, and adhere to presentation specificationsย 
  • Set up station according to established specificationsย 
  • Properly use the KDS system to manage cook times, while preparing and multitasking several dishes at a time.ย 
  • Restock all items as needed throughout the shiftย 
  • Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areasย 
  • Maintain kitchen equipment in โ€œlike newโ€ conditionย 
  • Clean and maintain station using necessary safety, sanitation, and organizational skills ย 
  • Maintain professional relationships and clear communications with all Managers and Team Membersย 
  • Follow departmental checklists and standard operating procedures to ensure work areas are prepared for opening, mid-shift or closing in accordance with company guidelines ย 
  • Perform other duties as assignedย 

What Youโ€™ll Need
ย ย 
  • Must represent Cooperโ€™s Hawk Valuesย 
  • Must be at least 18 years of ageย 
  • A minimum of 6 months line cook experience in upscale casual dining or an equivalent service environment ย 
  • An individual who thrives in a team-based environment ย 
  • Basic knowledge of professional cooking and experience in knife skills while using a cut-glove ย 
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling proceduresย 
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructionsย 
  • Ability to communicate clearly with Guests, Managers and Team Members ย 
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentย 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.ย 
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 10 hours per shiftย 
  • Ability to work within the following conditions: wet floors, temperature extremes, and loud noiseย 
  • Ability to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 6 hours in lengthย 
  • Ability to perform essential functions to Cooperโ€™s Hawk standards with reasonable accommodationย 
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and some holidays ย 
  • Must be able to read, write and understand Englishย
