We are growing and would like to welcome a new colleague in our Regional Sales Account Manager Position in our Winchester, Virginia, location that can strategically help us to achieve our company goals for future success. We have one full-time position available.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Regional Sales Account manager is responsible for selling Ashworth conveyor belts, monitoring systems and service to food manufacturing and can-making companies in the North-Eastern US. The job purpose is to develop and grow strategic relationships with customers through excellent sales and communication skills. Integrity, vision, and passion are essential for this role.
The position will generate revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders through auditing conveyor system health and recommending conveyor replacement and technical service needs. Individual must have excellent customer service, technical expertise and a thorough understanding of customer's expectations. The individual is expected to provide technical assistance for conveyor belt selection, prospect and qualify new customers and will collaborate with Marketing, Customer Service, Engineering, Sales and Finance.
Individual must have industrial equipment or conveyor sales in the food, beverage or logistics industry and/or technical service expertise in any of those industries.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS STATEMENT:
  • The job can be physically demanding and will require equipment audits for conveyor systems in spiral freezers, proofers, and ovens. This will require taking conveyor system measurements while climbing ladders and crawling in frozen/dark environments and in hot/humid conditions.
  • The candidate must have a strong mechanical aptitude and be able to identify critical system technical details, complete data sheets used for RFQs and clarify any ambiguities provided by the customer.
  • Assist Finance with late payment resolution by communicating with key customer contacts and clarifying customer billing information.
  • Log all sales calls into CRM detailing Customer equipment information, number of production lines and belt replacement schedule Perform systematic bid/quote follow-up with customer and accurately process all call transactions using a computer and designated CRM tracking and case software. (win/lose order).
  • Must be willing to travel as required based on business requirement, with occasional extended hours and weekends to attend trade shows and audit and troubleshoot customer equipment during emergency shut-down situations.

Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Degree or Diploma in a technical field and/or an equivalent combination of education and technical sales experience in a manufacturing environment. Mechanical or electrical engineering degree a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial equipment sales in the food industry, and/or hands-on mechanical/electrical service for equipment in the food industry.
  • Experience with food industry spiral freezer systems, cookers, and/or tunnel freezers/ovens a plus.
  • Must possess working knowledge of CRM systems, MS Office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
