Job description

This position can be located in either Sidney or Springboro Ohio region. 

The Belting/Conveyor System Specialist position is responsible for working with existing and prospective customers – training on specific products, troubleshooting user issues, assisting with installations, providing, or renewing licenses and product support demonstrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed CBT’s belting sales and margin goals while also contributing to meeting or exceeding other SBU sales and margin goals.
  • Meet with appropriate account managers to maintain at least 5 working opportunities in the CBT opportunity tracker at all times.
  • Support Sales and Marketing with accurate product and competitive information, sales materials, safe and effective product demonstrations during customer visits and field sales calls.
  • Meet with customers within territory to introduce, market, promote, and sell company products and services
  • Determine belting opportunities based on site visits and plant equipment requirements
  • Maintain a high level of industry knowledge to provide credibility to customers
  • Schedule, coordinate, host effective product demonstrations to meet or exceed targeted customer sales goals
  • Assists with problem resolution or risk mitigation as needed
  • Delivers informational and decision-seeking presentations to client organizations
  • Work at client sites from time to time.
  • Ability to make professional in person sales calls, presentations, product demonstrations and training as deemed appropriate
  • Associates Degree Required in applicable Technical Field, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Two to Four years of experience in applicable field, a strong technical background is required to manage technical products and handle competing interests
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform site equipment evaluations and determine customers needs. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in all common Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)

Working Environment:

Work to be performed at customer sites whenever possible, along with the ability to work remotely in a home office and in work areas within CBT.  Requires occasional standing, walking, lifting (overhead, waist level), bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use.  Customer site environments vary in lighting and temperature and may present unique hazards requiring the use of personal protective equipment and/or training  (these can be caused by air quality, noise, dust uneven walking conditions, etc.…
