Job Summary
Oliver Inc. is hiring a The Converting Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining converting equipment used to transform printed or raw materials into finished packaging products. This role ensures products meet quality, safety, and productivity standards while minimizing waste and downtime.
About the Role
As our Converting Operator, you will:
  • Set up, adjust, and operate converting machines (e.g., die cutters, window patchers, slitters, folders, gluers, laminators).
  • Read and interpret job tickets, specifications, and production schedules.
  • Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout production runs.
  • Make real-time adjustments to maintain tolerances, registration, and adhesive application.
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Accurately record production data, waste, downtime, and material usage.
  • Follow all safety procedures, GMPs, and company policies.
  • Communicate with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues.
  • Train and assist helper/operators as assigned.

About You:
You're a fit for the role of Converting Operator, if your background includes:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of experience operating converting or packaging equipment preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read measuring devices and production specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required.
  • Basic math and documentation skills.
