Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The TAD Converting Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and quality-focused operation of converting production lines. This position supports a high-performance work system and requires flexibility, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety.
REPORTING
Operators report to the TAD Asset Leader and receive directions from the TAD Converting Captains and Mill Coordinators.
Accountabilities
Operate converting and material-handling equipment, including rewinders, log saws, palletizers, wrappers/bundlers, case packers, and forklifts
Follow all safety rules, procedures, and PPE requirements, report incidents and near misses
Ensure finished products meet quality standards and specifications
Monitor equipment performance and input data into production systems as required
Maintain housekeeping standards and perform basic operator care and inspections
Assist with routine maintenance, grade changes, and equipment troubleshooting
Support team training, mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of three (3) years of forklift operation and industrial machine operation experience required
Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain and maintain certification)
Strong safety record with no safety violations or incidents within the previous 12 months
Demonstrated reliability and dependable attendance required
Ability to work scheduled shifts, including rotating 12-hour shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime
Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders and stairs, and stand for extended periods
Ability to work in cold or hot, humid, noisy, and high-volume production environments
Employees must be in good standing with no active corrective actions at written level or above
