Job description

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist

Team: Growth / Digital · Type: Full-time · Location: Remote

About Kitsch

Kitsch is a certified female- and minority-owned global beauty brand — bootstrapped from hair ties sold door-to-door into a household name across 32,000+ retailers in 92 countries, with no outside capital. We make everyday essentials that make you feel exceptional: high-performing, well-designed, and genuinely attainable.

We're scaling our digital business fast, and we need systematic optimization to keep growing. This role puts you at the center of the revenue-driving decisions that matter.

The mission

Drive systematic conversion rate optimization across Kitsch's digital properties through data-driven experimentation — delivering measurable revenue growth via strategic A/B testing and funnel optimization.

What you'll own
  • Conversion performance — own and deliver the primary conversion metrics that drive Kitsch's digital revenue (CVR, revenue-per-visitor, AOV) through systematic testing and optimization.
  • Funnel optimization — systematically improve every stage of the customer journey, from product discovery through checkout completion (add-to-cart, cart→checkout, checkout→purchase).
  • Testing infrastructure & pipeline — evaluate and recommend the optimal testing tech stack, then maintain a steady cadence of high-quality, statistically rigorous A/B tests (roughly 2–4 per month), each with documented insights and next actions.
  • Strategic test prioritization — build and maintain a prioritized experimentation backlog using data-driven frameworks (ICE/PIE), focusing resources on the highest-impact opportunities.
  • Cross-functional experimentation leadership — coordinate with Design, Development, and Merchandising to keep tests shipping without delays, and document the workflow so it scales.
  • Data-driven hypothesis generation — leverage quantitative analysis, session replay, heatmaps, and voice-of-customer insights to identify and validate high-potential opportunities.
  • Mobile UX optimization — prioritize mobile conversion, where most DTC traffic and friction lives, while protecting Core Web Vitals.
  • Revenue impact measurement — translate testing activity into clear business value, reporting ROI of the experimentation program to leadership.
What you bring
  • Hands-on CRO / experimentation experience in a DTC, e-commerce, or consumer environment.
  • Strong statistical rigor: proper experimental design, significance testing, and sample-size calculations to ensure valid, actionable results.
  • Data analysis mastery — comfortable synthesizing GA4, session-replay, heatmap, and funnel data into optimization opportunities and testable hypotheses.
  • Experience evaluating, implementing, and optimizing A/B testing platforms for scalability, accuracy, and team adoption.
  • Independent prioritization — you filter work through impact-vs-effort frameworks without waiting for direction.
  • Strong async communication — you document decisions, insights, and next steps clearly for a distributed team across time zones.
  • AI fluency — you use AI tools to accelerate hypothesis generation, test analysis, and insight synthesis.
Your first 90 days
  • 30 days — complete a tech-stack evaluation with clear recommendations, establish proper analytics tracking, and define the testing methodology framework.
  • 60 days — roll out the testing platform, launch your first tests on it, and establish cross-functional workflows with Design and Dev.
  • 90 days — testing infrastructure fully operational, a consistent test cadence achieved, and measurable progress toward conversion targets.
Our values — non-negotiable
  • Proactive problem solving — you identify conversion bottlenecks before they're escalated and bring data-backed solutions.
  • Willing to sweep the floors — you take ownership of the unglamorous QA, analysis, and documentation that keeps the program running.
  • Pride in our work — you feel personally accountable for conversion performance, celebrating wins and honestly documenting the losses you learn from.
  • Warm & real — you sound like a person, not a corporation.
How we hire

Expect to talk through the outcomes above, walk us through real examples of your experimentation work, and meet the people you'd work with day to day. We're looking for evidence, not buzzwords.

We make essentials that make you feel exceptional. Kitsch · Everyday Essentials, Intentionally Designed & Thoughtfully Curated.
