Job Summary:Responsible for assisting in Estimating/Preconstruction, Project Management, and/or Field Supervision in areas such as bidding, proposal development, scheduling, project management, cost management, and field supervision to ensure the project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and which attains or exceeds profit goals, while promoting and enhancing client relationships and the company's image.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Perform review of all contract document provisions; assist in review of design documents for compliance to specifications and contract, subcontract documents for scope completeness, and project plans, scopes, submittals and shop drawings for specification compliance and design/constructability issues.
  • Assist Project Manager and/or Superintendent with review of project proposal to determine time frame, budget, procedures, staffing, allotment of resources, and project schedule.
  • Assist Estimating/Preconstruction with preparing Invitations to Bid (ITBs) and soliciting competitive trade proposals, performing quantity take-offs, and the development of estimates and proposals.
  • Assist Superintendent with job site start-up, developing and maintaining schedules, subcontractor coordination, and completing accurate daily reports (including weather and subcontractor manpower reports), producing and filing project photographs, safety logs, equipment rentals, and cost coding.
  • Assist Project Manager with issuing monthly payment applications, preparing and maintaining master cost breakdown, Requests for Information (RFIs), and project close-out.
  • Comply with all safety policies, report suspected safety concerns, make recommendations for enhancements to the safety program, and visibly support and uphold the company's strong safety culture.
  • Other related duties.


Education, Experience, and Licensing/Certifications include:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field and appropriate experience successfully managing construction projects for a general contractor from conception to completion. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Design-build experience on relevant project types.
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
