Job Description:
Apex systems is seeking a Test Engineer (Hardware) to join a great company around the Cleveland, OH area.
The main responsibility for this role will be testing managed Cisco switches for new features, new releases and functionality. You will work with Design and Lead Network engineers to understand the changes in order to run functional tests.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Work with internal Hardware, Network and Software engineers to understand test requirements.
  • Conduct custom Functional test on managed Cisco Switches.
  • Administer proper infrastructural upgradation and enhance tests for better performance.
  • Perform automatic output of result-oriented programs inclusive of upgradation of tools
  • You will provide services to support Network Hardware of automation control systems and advanced manufacturing software applications, drive systems, manufacturing systems, industrial networks and the individual products that comprise these systems.
  • You will develop and write documentation (validation project plans, standard operating procedures, qualification summary reports, system audits, technical reports, traceability matrix, etc.).

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Engineering, or Technology-related field

Required Experience:
  • Typically requires minimum 3+ years experience with Industrial Control Systems
  • Programming experience with Ladder Logic
  • Industrial Hardware testing experience
  • Experience testing Ethernet/IP, Cisco Switches
  • OT Networking experience

Nice to have:
  • PLC programming experience,
  • Industrial Automation, ControlLogix, CompactLogix
  • PowerFlex products and applications
  • Servo/Motion control
  • Low Voltage PowerFlex Drives or Medium Voltage Drives
  • Multiple networks, including EtherNet, ControlNet, and DeviceNet
