Job description

Job Summary
Come and join our fast-moving, world-class organization in Camarillo, CA. We are one of the world's largest private manufacturers of servo drives used in automation across a wide variety of industries and applications around the world and in space.
We are currently seeking an experienced Electronics Test Engineer to develop and implement functional test programs that interface to our custom and OTS hardware to validate and verify our hardware, software, and system designs. Help us fully automate our testing of our innovative servo drive designs to maximize resource utilization.
As a Test Engineer here at Advanced Motion Controls you will be on the front lines developing code, working with our Analog and Digital Design Engineers, Sales, Product Management and Production to develop routines that fully evaluate our products from 250 W - 300 kW. Our digital products require testing of their network interfaces as well which include CAN, EtherCat and RS-485.
Required Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and implement test software within our engineering facilities to automate testing to the design requirements.
  • Provide testability input to Engineering on new product development designs.
  • Support manufacturing test of analog and embedded devices.
  • Design, implement, and develop the code for test fixtures of power electronics.
  • Develop new processes, test methodologies and/or test facilities for improved quality, lower cycle time and lower product costs.
  • Additional job duties as required.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 4 years professional experience writing code to automate test routines of electronic assemblies.
  • Data Acquisition, serial and/or other communication programming skills.
  • Ability to work on several projects at once.
  • Familiarity with bench top electronic test equipment.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Object-Oriented programming skills in a text-based language, C++, C#.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Review schematics to ensure that the electrical circuits are accessible and testable.

Preferred Skills
  • CANopen experience
  • TCP/IP experience
  • Source code version control
  • SQL and basic database management
  • Understand statistical data analysis

Required Education
  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience/combined education with minimum 4 years of professional experience.

Other Requirements
  • Will occasionally/frequently: stand, walk, sit, use both hands, and carry/lift/push/pull to 25 lbs.
  • We are ITAR Registered. Hired candidate must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
  • This full-time, on-site position is located at our Camarillo, CA facility. Monday through Friday 8a-5pm, with additional hours/days as required.

Pay Range: $95,000 to $120,000 annual salary.
