What you will do

The Inside Sales Engineer will support North American channel partners and the field sales team in the Building Automation Systems industry. In this role, you will provide technical support, product selection assistance, and order processing support to assigned customers while helping create a premier customer experience through responsiveness, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide customer support for pricing and delivery, product specifications, and project application requirements.
  • Use technical knowledge to support discussions between sales and customers and help align solutions to customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with assigned customer accounts to support growth and identify new business opportunities.
  • Establish a weekly cadence with assigned channel partners and maintain consistent follow-up.
  • Respond to customer issues related to order management, quality concerns, pricing discrepancies, and product application support.
  • Collaborate with Pricing, Customer Service, Commercial Operations, and Product Management to resolve issues and move opportunities forward.
  • Lead product and program presentations for existing and prospective customers.
  • Record sales activities and opportunities in Salesforce and use sales data to support decisions and business cases.
  • Support increased customer adoption of the online ordering portal through live demonstrations, feedback collection, and product data uploads.
How You Will Do It
  • Stay close to customer needs and respond quickly with accurate technical and commercial support.
  • Bring a problem-solving mindset to pricing, order management, and product application questions.
  • Work across functions with a collaborative, accountable approach to remove obstacles for customers.
  • Use Salesforce, MS Office, and sales data to keep activities organized and decisions well supported.
  • Present product and program information clearly in both virtual and in-person conversations.
  • Help customers adopt the online ordering portal by demonstrating value and collecting actionable feedback.
  • Build trust through consistent communication, professional judgment, and a focus on what matters most for the customer.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree minimum; an Engineering degree is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including virtual and in-person presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint, as well as internet software and email.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Located in Glendale, WI, or able to work from the greater Milwaukee area office location.
  • U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.
Nice to Have
  • Technical selling experience.
  • Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce.
  • Experience with ERP interfaces such as SAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $75,000-$91,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account volume and margin on a project, quarterly, and annual basis. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
