As a Commercial System Specialist, you serve as a sales-enablement professional supporting the local Sales and Operations teams in the sale and profitable execution of Johnson Controls / York commercial HVAC equipment. You help the business operate efficiently by managing the systems that support sales, pricing, contracts, forecasting, and customer relationships. This role bridges the gap between frontline sales, operations, manufacturing, and technical support to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and seamless coordination across the organization.
What you will do
Pre-Sales Support
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to assist sales strategy.

  • Leverage the regional sales team and manufacturing support resources to build a strong network of technical and business professionals.

  • Participate in all product-related training and provide timely updates to the team regarding product and manufacturing changes.

  • Maintain commercial models, documentation, and related activities.

Sales Enablement
  • Prepare timely, accurate, and complete commercial HVAC equipment proposals.

  • Provide value-added recommendations or value-engineered alternatives to support sales opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with commercial policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain accurate commercial data across tools such as Solution Navigator, Salesforce, and other enterprise platforms.

  • Prepare reports, forecasts, and dashboards to support sales management decision-making.

Commercial Operations Support
  • Streamline commercial workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Coordinate with local operations teams to support smooth order fulfillment and on-time delivery.

  • Maintain contract documentation, manage customer communication, and ensure proper contract setup and loading within internal systems.

  • Oversee post-bid activities, including on-site technical support where required.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $80,000-121,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
