Job description

Automation Controls Engineer

Location: Northern Rhode Island
Schedule: 1st Shift
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000+ plus benefits

We are seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to support automated manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This position will work closely with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and outside equipment suppliers to improve equipment performance, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency.

Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and support automated production equipment
• Assist with machine controls, automation systems, and equipment upgrades
• Work with robotics, sensors, vision systems, and automated inspection equipment
• Help identify and resolve equipment downtime issues
• Support continuous improvement and manufacturing efficiency projects
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers, vendors, and integrators
• Assist with new equipment installations and automation initiatives
• Provide technical support to manufacturing operations

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of manufacturing, automation, controls, or engineering experience
• Experience troubleshooting automated equipment and production systems
• Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams
