Assistant Controller - (Internal Title - CAS Senior Accountant/Supervisor) Looking for variety, flexibility, and meaningful client work. Join our Client Accounting Services (CAS) Team. *We are currently seeking accounting professionals who have nonprofit / not for profit experience to be able to support that client group. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Client Accounting Services: Our Client Accounting Services Group has been around for over 20 years and is made up of dedicated personnel whose only assignments are supporting our client base. We are full-time CPAs, CMAs, Accountants and Business Managers.

We understand the issues that Controllers and CFOs face every day - and our technology, experience and flexibility add real value. Accounting Consulting for us is not something that fills our downtime; it is our focus all year long. Our services range from bookkeeping to budgeting and forecasting.

Our Client Accounting Services Team ensures our clients have the information and advice they require to run their business/organization. Responsibilities: (would vary based on the specific client engagements that change during the year) Project based accounting work for various local clients. Depending on engagement, you may assist with recording and posting journal entries, performing month close process (or setting up/reviewing), A/P, A/R, payroll, preparing bank reconciliations, etc.

Ability to prepare a full accrual, month end close. Ensures an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and financial information reporting. Analyzing the general ledger process, identify, clean up and resolve irregularities that occur to ensure the financial statements.

Communicating reporting/compliance requirements with client internal departments, all the while providing quality service and maintaining satisfied clients. Assisting clients with their financial statement reporting processes including cash flow and disclosures. Assisting and maintaining clients' annual operating plan/budgets.

Coordinating accounting efforts with external auditors, tax preparers, supervision of staff, and regular communications with owners and financial institutions. Review of operational, financial, and technological processes to provide management with assessment of business risk, internal control, and the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the processes. May be involved with establishing or upgrading accounting ledgers or systems for clients.

Requirements Associate's degree in Accounting is required, (Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred). A minimum of four plus years of accounting experience as an Accountant/Senior Accountant working in a nonprofit / not for profit organization or working within a public accounting firm support those types of clients. Formal bank/account reconciliation and month close experience is required.

Supervisory skills and strong accounting system experience are a plus. Experience with QuickBooks Online, Intacct and Bill.com is strongly preferred. Effective communication, relationship building and consulting skills are necessary

The ideal candidate must be able to meet deadlines, be initiative-taking and have solid multi-tasking skills. Possess strong analytical skills and have solid business knowledge as it relates to operations and procedures. CPA or CMA is a plus but not required.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $70,000 - $92,000 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is base pay only and does not consider other components that makeup the total rewards package for the position such as eligibility to receive discretionary spot bonus incentives. This range is a reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position.

Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and/or education and geographic location. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the capabilities and experience of the candidate. Incentives, if any, depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and firm performance.
