Job description

Position Summary We are seeking a highly experienced accounting professional to support the Financial Controller in overseeing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, strengthening internal controls, and supporting strategic financial initiatives.The ideal candidate brings at least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to operate both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Operations Support the Financial Controller in managing day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll coordination Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across all systems Financial Reporting Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis and insights to leadership Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Compliance & Controls Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of supporting documentation Process Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency Support implementation or optimization of ERP/accounting systems Drive best practices in financial reporting and data management Cross-Functional Support Partner with departments such as operations, HR, and procurement on financial matters Provide financial insights to support business decisions and cost management
