What we are looking for:

We are seeking a Panel Shop Technician for our  Anaheim, California office. As a Panel Shop Technician, your main duties will relate to assembling, fabricating, and wiring UL control panels in accordance with design drawings. This is the perfect job for someone who loves technology and working with their hands. 

Our clients are contractors or end users supporting a wide range of industries including water / wastewater, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, mining, aerospace, and more. We offer a number of products and services to these industries such as:

  • PLC / HMI
  • SCADA / Integration Software
  • Thermal & Process Instrumentation
  • Custom UL Control Panels
  • Industrial Field Services

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Other duties may be assigned as needed  

         Maintain quality standards for each build.

         Assemble, fabricate, and wire in accordance with provided CAD drawings and bill of materials.

         Monitor control panel during manufacture for quality issues.

         Redline drawings and update BOM for any quality irregularities or engineered changes.

         Work closely with engineering during the build process to ensure requirements of build are met.

         Prepare finished control panels for shipment ensuring products meet all quality assurance inspections.

         Monitor and advise on inventory levels of frequently used materials.

         Assist unloading inbound material from trucks utilizing forklift or palette jack as needed.

         Utilize software tools for logging time, monitoring budgeted hours and other as needed.

         Maintain a clean and organized shop area.

 

Required skills/abilities:

Hard skills:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel as well as Windows 10 knowledge.

Understanding of industrial control systems and products (optional).

Ability to use hand tools and test instruments.

Soft skills:

Strong commitment to accuracy and detail.

Strong organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Team player attitude.

 

Education/Credentials/Experience:

Degree and or certification in electrical systems, control theory, HVAC, or other relevant discipline.

Basic knowledge of electrical concepts including AC and DC power circuits.

Experience working in a team environment where regular communication with colleagues is required.

Experience with detailed manufacturing and assembly.

 

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand or use stool at an oversized table the majority of the day.

Ability to lean over table to complete build of center areas of the panel.

Ability to maneuver through office and shop area.

Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds.

Ability to climb ladder to shelf heights to retrieve or store product.
