Apprentice and Advanced Assemblers | First Shift | Harrison, OH

We are currently hiring for Apprentice and Advanced Assemblers for a manufacturing company in Harrison, OH that builds industrial air compressor and vacuum systems. This is a great opportunity to start at an entry level or use your previous mechanical / assembly experience to grow with a company that offers long-term stability and advancement.

This is a temp to hire position with the opportunity to go permanent after 60 days, with additional pay increases available after hire-in. There are 3 main areas of assembly, Compressed Air, Vacuum Systems, and Control Panel/Electrical Assembly. Experience with any of these would qualify candidates for the advanced position.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble industrial air compressor and vacuum system components
  • Perform mechanical assembly using hand and power tools
  • Assist with wiring motors, panels, and electrical components
  • Read work instructions, drawings, and basic schematics
  • Install motors, pumps, tubing, and fittings per drawings
  • Perform basic plumbing tasks such as thread taping and tube flaring
  • Follow testing procedures to ensure units operate properly
  • Prepare finished units for shipment
  • Maintain clean and organized work area
  • Record scrap and production information as required
  • Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals

Apprentice Assembler Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Basic mechanical ability
  • Longevity in previous jobs, no large gaps in resume
  • Comfortable using hand tools
  • Willing to learn electrical and mechanical assembly
  • Able to follow instructions and work in a team environment

Advanced Assembler Requirements

  • All above requirements
  • Previous assembly, mechanical, or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or BOMs is a plus
  • Experience with wiring, plumbing, or equipment assembly helpful
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend throughout the shift
  • Comfortable using pallet jack and shop tools

Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm

Pay:

Apprentice - $18.35/hr

Advanced - $19.51/hr
