Job description

We’re looking for a dependable Electrician to support fabrication operations through electrical assembly, wiring, troubleshooting, and equipment support. This role plays an important part in building and maintaining quality equipment while supporting safe, efficient production standards across MPW operations and customer locations.

What You’ll Do

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete electrical fabrication projects.
  • Install, wire, and troubleshoot 120V, 240V, and 480V electrical systems and components.
  • Perform PLC wiring and assist with electrical control panel assembly.
  • Support fabrication, installation, testing, and startup of industrial equipment and systems.
  • Assist engineering teams with equipment design improvements and operational enhancements.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with electrical specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime and production delays.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe operating condition.
  • Train and assist additional employees on electrical procedures, fabrication practices, and safe work methods.
  • Travel to customer locations and MPW sites as needed to support installations, repairs, and operational projects.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations during daily operations.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, fabrication teams, engineering staff, and customers regarding project progress and equipment performance.

 

What You’ll Need

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical school or trade school training preferred.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of electrical experience in industrial, fabrication, manufacturing, or related environments.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, PLC wiring, hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout 8–12 hour shifts.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, climb, and work in confined spaces or industrial environments as needed.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators, while working around chemicals, fumes, noise, heat, and other industrial conditions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10–30% to customer and MPW locations and work overtime or varying schedules when operational needs require it.
