The Community Healing Centers is looking for a therapist in the Niles, Michigan area who is interested in working with our CHC team as a Contractual Outpatient Therapist! Hours will be based on client needs and will include evening group sessions.

Job Description
This contract therapist role will provide outpatient clinical services including psycho-social assessments, treatment planning, and discharge/aftercare planning activities and provision of individual, group, or family sessions to be scheduled based on client needs.
Activities of this OutPatient Therapist include:
  • Performing admission, assessment, and discharge functions.
  • Preparing evaluation of client treatment needs.
  • Preparing client initial and master treatment plans as appropriate, participate in CCM/TPR.
  • Conducting individual and/or group and/or family counseling as appropriate.
  • Conducting education and training regarding aspects of substance abuse.
  • Preparing/submitting reports in accordance with state, agency, referral and CARF program requirements.
  • Obtaining/monitoring funding authorizations from the state and insurance companies.
  • Ability to recruit, engage and retain clients.
  • Maintaining professional relationships with referral sources.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field required; MSW preferred.
  • Current Certified Advanced Addictions and Drug (CAADC) credential a plus!.
  • Must have licensure with the State of Michigan: Licensed Masters Social Worker preferred, Licensed Professional Counselor or Psychologist, Limited Licensed Masters Social Worker, Limited Licensed Professional Counselor, or Masters Limited Psychologist considered.
  • 3 years of professional experience
  • Must be available for evening clinic hours and occassional Saturdays.

Desired Competencies:
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to engage in positive therapeutic relationships with clients, staff, and community/agency representatives required.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, ability to operate computer equipment.
  • Working knowledge of the system of services needed to address client needs.
