This is a contingent position based upon contract award
KBR is seeking a Special Technical Operations (STO) Analyst that will support classified national security space operations by assisting with compartmented mission activities and operational reporting. This role contributes to the preparation, validation, and dissemination of mission products that support situational awareness and decision-making.
The analyst works under the guidance of senior STO personnel while gaining experience with our customers' operational processes, mission planning, and Intelligence Community coordination. The position supports integration of space system capabilities and participates in operational exercises as required.
This role is performed full-time on site at a government facility in Springfield, Virginia, and is contingent upon contract award.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support compartmented STO mission activities under established procedures and guidance
  • Assist with development, review, and dissemination of operational reports, briefings, and mission products
  • Monitor mission activities and contribute to situational awareness for STO operations
  • Support coordination with mission operations centers and Intelligence Community partners
  • Maintain compliance with security requirements, including handling of highly classified materials
  • Assist in identifying operational issues, reporting anomalies, and documenting mission impacts
  • Participate in operational exercises, training events, and readiness activities
  • Support data collection and documentation for system performance and mission assessments

Required Qualifications:
  • Entry-level experience:
    • Master's degree with 1+ year of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise
    • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise
    • No degree with 4+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with adjudicated polygraph
  • Experience supporting classified operations, intelligence production, or technical mission environments
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense or Intelligence Community operational processes

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to space operations, space systems, or satellite mission environments
  • Academic or professional experience related to intelligence analysis, engineering, or space systems
  • Familiarity with secure reporting systems or classified operational tools

Basic Compensation:
$85,900 - $105,000
This range is for the Virginia area only
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
