Contractual Remote Sleep Study Scoring Jobs (NOW HIRING)

GD Resources LLC is seeking experienced  Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Sleep Medicine Physicians to provide remote sleep medicine services supporting Veterans through the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Physicians will be onboarded through the Greater Los Angeles VA Health Care System, but they are not required to reside in Los Angeles. Services will be delivered virtually to Veterans located throughout the United States based on the physician’s active medical licensure. The requirement may be fulfilled using full-time and/or part-time physicians totaling 1.3 FTEE or 2,700 hours annually.

Key Responsibilities

The Sleep Medicine Physician will provide comprehensive virtual sleep medicine services, including:

• Evaluate and manage patients with sleep disorders and related medical conditions.
• Conduct new-patient and follow-up visits through synchronous telehealth.
• Complete electronic consultations involving medical-record review and medical decision-making.
• Determine appropriate sleep testing based on clinical indications.
• Review raw sleep-study data and interpret sleep-test results.
• Communicate sleep-study results and treatment recommendations to Veterans and referring providers.
• Complete remote physiologic and therapeutic monitoring.
• Communicate with Veterans through secure messaging when appropriate.
• Perform chart reviews and patient-safety audits related to sleep-testing services.
• Order diagnostic testing and monitor completion and results.
• Document all patient encounters and clinical activities in the VA electronic health record.
• Coordinate care with VA providers and multidisciplinary sleep medicine teams.
• Maintain required board certification, CME, clinical privileges, and professional standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Sleep Medicine through an American Board of Medical Specialties board.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent.
• Current, full, and unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
• Must hold appropriate licensure in the jurisdiction where the Veteran receiving care resides.
• Current DEA certificate.
• Appropriate National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Ability to successfully complete VA credentialing and privileging requirements before providing patient care.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
• Strong proficiency with computers, electronic medical records, telehealth platforms, and electronic clinical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Multiple active state medical licenses
• Prior VA healthcare experience
• Experience with VistA and/or Oracle Health
• Experience using Somnoware
• Prior telehealth or virtual-care experience
• Experience providing sleep medicine services within a hospital or large healthcare system

Priority licensure states include:

Florida, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, and California.

Schedule

Work hours will depend on the operating hours of the VA clinic where the Veteran is located.

• Work may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends.
• Services will generally occur between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM local time.
• Coverage may occur across Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific time zones.
• There is no on-call or overtime requirement.
• Physicians working less than 1.0 FTE must be available by phone, email, and Microsoft Teams during their established working hours.
• Off-hours coverage is not required.

Remote Work Requirements

This is a fully remote position. Physicians are responsible for maintaining:

• A private, VA-compliant workspace
• Reliable internet connectivity
• Compliance with VA telework, privacy, and information-security requirements

Performance Expectations

Physicians will be expected to:

• Complete new-patient visits within approximately 60 minutes.
• Complete follow-up visits within approximately 30 minutes.
• Complete required EHR documentation, typically within 24 hours of the clinical encounter.
• Interpret applicable sleep-study results within 7 calendar days.
• Communicate test results to the Veteran and appropriate provider within 14 days.
• Attend weekly team huddles and required quality-improvement activities.
• Meet VA patient-access, documentation, quality, and patient-safety requirements.
