Job Description
As the Project Manager of the Terafab Operations Group, you will report to the Head of Terafab Ops and work in tandem with Construction Manager. You will be responsible for planning and managing project deployments, building and tracking project budgets, reporting, and client communication. Your primary scope includes managing three to four concurrent deployments which involves regular interfacing through weekly meetings and project site visits, project cost & schedule management, developing client driven KI such as system uptime and schedule milestones, and weekly progress reports. Additional scope includes interfacing with subcontractors both in and out of Terabase employ, participation in contractual negotiations, facilitating feedback to R&D/mfg, monitoring overall health of deployment teams, and ensuring clients have all safety and process related documentation. Successful persons will demonstrate meticulous organization with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness coupled with an in depth understanding of person to person communications and a rapport building approach.
Responsibilities
Daily Project Operations
  • Understand major KI #1 - Consistent production
  • Support customer engagements, from booking to delivery, demonstrating operational excellence resulting in happy customers.
  • Identify, build, and maintain relationships with new and existing clients and contractors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring safe and efficient execution of contracts and services.

Process Improvement
  • Collaborate with other departments on operational requirements needed to meet customer deliverables and departmental priorities.
  • Identify inefficient operational processes and training gaps and build plans to address
  • Build and refine the Terafab official operations mobilization checklist

Product Development
  • Maintain a complete understanding of our products and services.
  • Identify and promote changes in Terabase's technology stack to increase operational efficiency.
  • Actively feed back system deficiencies, quality issues, and insufficient reliability to R&D and manufacturing

Customer Success
  • Understand major KI #2: Happy customers
  • Work in partnership with the sales team to provide expanded services and support organic growth within existing accounts.
  • Act as a voice of the customer by representing their perspectives and interests in areas such as product roadmap, technical support, quality, etc.

Reporting & Management of KPIs
  • Develop, monitor, and track key performance indicators for each project according to key operational efficiency objectives and customer success metrics.
  • Circulate precise reports to stakeholders that accurately depict project health status

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, energy, or related field.
  • 3+ years' experience working as a project or operations manager in the solar or renewable energy industry, heavy construction, or aerospace industry
  • Knowledge of components of PV plants; PV modules, trackers, inverters, and battery storage systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge or experience working with photogrammetry and drone image processing software such as Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape, ODM, DroneDeploy, ArcGIS, SimActive Correlator3D, Propeller, etc..
  • Proficiency in project management tools/software such as MS Project, Salesforce, etc.
  • Excellent time management and ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, customer relationship skills, and ability to communicate effectively and interact within a team environment.
  • Advanced or expert skill level in MS Suite of software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience working with cloud-based platforms such as Amazon Workspaces (AWS), JIRA and other Atlassian tools such as Confluence, and Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Experience leading a small team and working with remotely distributed contractors.
  • Willing to work in Hybrid (Home/Office) setup and work with minimal supervision.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time, primarily US-based project sites

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in construction trades, particularly utility scale solar construction
  • Knowledge of industrial safety standards and OSHA standards
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each posted range individual pay is determined (and may be greater or higher) dependent on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The expected salary range for this role is $140,000-165,000 DOE.
