DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
Responsible for deploying Oracle quarterly patches
Responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and administering databases, including security, access, and documentation
Work closely with other database administrators, system administrators, developers, testers and GDIT shipboard technicians on troubleshooting and resolving Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS) technology stack issues.
Collaborate with teammates onsite and through distant support using available and approved remote access tools
Provide expert database administration support in a Hyper-V/VSphere virtualization environment.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer/Information Systems

Certification(s): Security+, Oracle Database Administration and Windows OS
Required Experience: 3+ years of related experience working as an Oracle/PeopleSoft DBA
Required Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Oracle RDBMS 12c/19c, PeopleTools, PepleSoft HCM/HRMS, WebLogic, Tuxedo, and shell/Windows scripting on multiple operating systems and network platforms.

Working knowledge of Docker containerization running on a Linux (RHEL) platform, including building, configuring, and optimizing Docker images using Dockerfiles; managing container lifecycle operations (build, run, stop, restart, prune); creating and maintaining private container registries; implementing multi-stage builds and image layering strategies to reduce footprint; configuring container networking, volumes, and bind mounts; troubleshooting container runtime, networking, and resource utilization issues; and integrating containerized applications.
Required Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Skills: Prior experience working with and knowledge of the Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS)

The likely salary range for this position is $97,968 - $120,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
