The RoleWe are seeking a strategic and technical Product Manager to lead the evolution of our Aspen Capital Cost Estimation solutions and drive growth. In this role, you will drive the product vision and execution for critical CAPEX/OPEX estimation tools for the Process Industry. You will play a pivotal role in a major initiative of transforming our applications.   • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and own the product roadmap for our capital cost estimation portfolio, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and user needs. Define strategic priorities and build business cases to justify the priorities.
  • Agile Leadership: Function as the primary Solution Manager for the product within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment. Coordinate with R&D leaders, architects, and Agile Release Trains, manage the product backlog meticulously in Azure DevOps, and write clear, actionable features.
  • Technical Integration: Partner closely with R&D teams to integrate complex calculation and leverage data fabric architectures to ensure high performance and data integrity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside UX/UI designers, domain experts, and stakeholders to translate deep technical cost-estimation workflows into intuitive, modern web experiences. Support Sales and SC teams with customer engagements.
  • Market & User Research: Conduct continuous discovery with end-users to understand their pain points in capital project planning and cost modeling, incorporating feedback into the product lifecycle. Leverage tools such as usage data, market & competitive research, macroeconomic trends, and close collaboration with Sales organization.
  • Stakeholder alignment: ensure appropriate sign offs and alignment with management and other key stakeholders.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical or business field. MBA desired.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in enterprise software Product Management, preferably within engineering, construction, or adjacent software domains.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of capital cost estimation processes, cost modeling, or heavy industrial project planning.
  • Technical and Business Acumen: Proven track record of leading product development efforts. Analyze customer feedback, product usage data, and market trends to support software feature planning.
  • Methodology: Deep expertise in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and hands-on experience managing backlogs in tools like Azure DevOps.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between highly technical engineering teams and business stakeholders.

The salary range for this role is $146,900.00 - $183,600.00. This range represents what we in good faith believe is the range possible for base compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. This range may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, charitable giveback day, medical/dental/vision insurance, and retirement benefits to eligible employees.
