The Warranty Claims Specialist is responsible for reviewing, processing, and coordinating warranty claims to ensure timely resolution and exceptional customer support. This role evaluates claim validity, collaborates with internal teams and vendors, and ensures compliance with company policies, manufacturing guidelines, and contractual obligations. The Warranty Claims Specialist plays a key role in protecting the company revenue while maintaining strong customer relationships.

What you'll do

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review incoming warranty claims for accuracy, completeness, and eligibility.
  • Validate claim documentation, including invoices, photos, service reports, and serial numbers.
  • Update and track claims within the warranty management system.
  • Approve, deny or escalate claims based on company guidelines, DOA assignments, and contractual obligations.
  • Process incoming product registration submissions from customers, dealers, and rental partners
  • Review registration information for accuracy and compliance with registration requirements
  • Other departmental warranty duties as assigned

Customer & Dealer Support Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for direct customers, dealers, and service & rental partners regarding warranty and registration inquiries.
  • Provide clear explanations of warranty decisions and required documentation.
  • Help direct troubleshooting product issues to the correct teams as it relates to warranty coverage

Communication & Coordination Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with internal teams (service, parts, engineering, & sales) to gather information or escalate complex claims.
  • Communicate with internal team members to coordinate replacement parts or return goods authorization paperwork.
  • Follow up with external vendors or manufacturers and work with supply chain team members on the coordination of claim approvals and vendor recovery.
  • Work with internal department team members for preparing reports on claim trends, failure patterns, processing times and cost analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with warranty terms and internal policies.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to improve warranty processes and reduce error rates.
  • Participate in training programs, system updates and department initiatives.

What you'll bring

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Organization skills and detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of CRM or ERP systems / management tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five years' experience working directly with Terex Utilities equipment
  • Experience in customer facing role
  • Data analysis, evaluation and trend reporting
  • Project management
  • Development and coding skills preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite
  • Customer-centric mindset
  • Ability to adjust to everchanging environment

The compensation range for this position is $64,000 - $90,000 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
