Are you a recognized technical leader in injection molding with a passion for driving operational excellence? Join our team as a Senior Plastics Process Engineer and lead the development, optimization, and standardization of molding processes that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
In this senior-level role, you will serve as the plant's subject matter expert for plastics processing and injection molding technologies. You will lead complex troubleshooting efforts, drive continuous improvement initiatives, support new product launches, mentor technical and production teams, and partner cross-functionally to implement robust, data-driven process solutions.   • Serve as the senior technical expert for injection molding processes, providing leadership in process optimization, validation, troubleshooting, and control.

  • Lead efforts to improve cycle times, scrap reduction, uptime, repeatability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) through scientific molding principles and data-driven decision-making.

  • Identify and execute Lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives that reduce waste, improve throughput, and enhance product quality.

  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for chronic or high-impact process, tooling, automation, and quality issues; implement sustainable solutions across operations.

  • Develop, maintain, and improve process standards, work instructions, control plans, parameter windows, and quality documentation to ensure consistent production performance.

  • Provide technical leadership for mold trials, process development, mold sampling, qualification, and launch readiness for new products and tooling.

  • Coach and mentor process engineers, technicians, operators, and production teams to strengthen technical capability and promote best practices in molding operations.

  • Partner with Production, Tooling, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve issues, improve manufacturability, and support plant objectives.

  • Lead or support implementation and optimization of RJG systems, robotics, automation, and EOAT solutions to improve process control and productivity.

  • Collaborate with OEMs, resin suppliers, tooling vendors, and automation partners to implement best practices, improve process capability, and support capital or improvement projects.

  • Analyze process performance trends and communicate risks, opportunities, and recommendations to plant leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Provide technical support during off-shift or critical production situations as needed; support flexible hours and overtime when required.

  • Proven ability to lead projects, influence cross-functional teams, and drive measurable process improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Plastics Engineering

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in injection molding/process engineering

  • Experience with robotics, automation, and EOAT design/programming

  • Experience with mold sampling, mold flow functionality, and scientific molding practices

  • Experience implementing Lean process improvement in a manufacturing operation

  • Experience supporting capital equipment projects, validation activities, and plant expansions

  • Demonstrated success leading technical training and developing technical talent

  • Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment
