What you will enjoy doing*
  • In this role you will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of advanced process control applications in air separation, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen production facilities
  • Collaborate with senior APC engineers, Regional Optimization Center, and operations teams to enhance process stability, energy efficiency, and plant performance
  • You will assist in controller performance monitoring, plant data analysis, model updates, and troubleshooting of APC applications
  • Gain exposure to industrial model predictive control, fuzzy logic control, and real-time optimization technologies
  • Contribute to productivity and optimization initiatives

What makes you great
  • You should have a B.S. degree in Chemical / Biochemical Engineering or related engineering discipline (Automation, Electrical, Control Engineering)
  • M.S. graduates with relevant coursework and engineering experience; B.S. candidates with more than two (2+) years of engineering experience are preferred
  • Foundational understanding of process control principles (e.g., PID control, dynamics, plant modeling)
  • Familiarity with DCS or instrumentation systems such as Rockwell, Siemens, Honeywell, DeltaV, or Yokogawa,
    Exposure to simulation or modeling tools such as MATLAB, Aspen Hysys/Plus, UniSim, or similar software,
    Basic understanding of statistical methods (correlation, regression, PCA/PLS) for process data analysis are a plus
  • You have experience using programming or scripting languages (Python, Visual Basic, etc.) is required, familiarity with APC concepts (MPC/FLC) from academic projects or internships is a plus
  • In addition, you have the ability to analyze plant operating data and assist in troubleshooting under supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate with operations, engineering, and global support teams
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to ~25%) for plant support and training
