Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Asset Manager to oversee and maintain our real estate portfolio while ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and performance of real estate assets. This role is responsible for managing property documentation, lease administration, financial reviews, and asset records while supporting acquisitions, dispositions, leasing activities, and facilities management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and experienced in commercial real estate operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, interpret, and summarize real estate documents, including leases, amendments, invoices, insurance policies, contracts, and related legal documentation.
  • Abstract and maintain accurate property and lease information within asset management databases and records management systems.
  • Monitor critical lease dates, renewals, expirations, and other contractual deadlines to ensure compliance and timely action.
  • Assist with the acquisition, disposition, leasing, and ongoing management of the organization's real estate portfolio.
  • Review and audit property financial statements, operating expenses, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor annual operating costs and assist in evaluating property performance.
  • Ensure compliance with lease agreements, contractual obligations, and internal policies.
  • Support lease negotiations and maintain productive relationships with brokers, landlords, developers, and other external partners.
  • Prepare reports, conduct data analysis, and provide project support for construction, facilities, and real estate initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, documentation, and portfolio management practices.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior team members and may serve as a team lead on projects.
  • Collaborate across departments while independently managing multiple priorities and providing regular project updates to leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in commercial real estate, asset management, lease administration, property management, or a related field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of lease administration, real estate documentation, and portfolio management.
  • Experience reviewing property financials, operating expenses, and lease-related financial obligations.
  • Strong understanding of commercial lease agreements and contractual compliance.
  • Experience working with real estate databases, asset management systems, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
