Overview

JST is currently seeking an experienced Contracts Manager.

This is a full-time position in Washington, D.C. JST offers a full benefit package, a collaborative work environment and strong company culture. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply.

Contract Manager Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of federal government contracts, from proposal and award through performance, modification, closeout, and renewal.
  • Interpret and administer contract terms, conditions, statements of work, deliverables, and other contractual requirements.
  • Monitor contract performance, milestones, deliverables, funding, invoices, and compliance obligations.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for government contracting officials, contracting officer representatives, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support contract negotiations, modifications, extensions, task orders, and change requests.
  • Identify contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies in partnership with legal, finance, program management, and leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), agency-specific requirements, and company policies.
  • Track contract funding, ceiling values, option periods, and key dates to ensure timely action.
  • Review and support preparation of contract deliverables, correspondence, reports, and other customer-facing documentation.
  • Coordinate with proposal and business development teams on new opportunities, solicitations, and contract vehicles.
  • Manage subcontractor and teaming-partner relationships as applicable.
  • Maintain accurate contract files and documentation for audits and internal reporting.
  • Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Contracts Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution;
  • Five years of experience providing technical assistance, including at least one year in personnel management and oversight of contract performance.
  • Shall be able to read, write, speak, and understand English to effectively communicate with Government officials and direct Contractor staff.

Required Clearances and Screenings

  • MUST be able to pass a US Government Security Clearance
