Unarmed Security Guard - Maryland
  • Unarmed Security Officers perform a variety of security-related duties depending on the post.
  • Patrolling and monitoring exterior and community areas on-premises.
  • Access control of entrances and exits and departure of employees and visitors.
  • Monitoring surveillance cameras for any disruptions or unlawful activities.
  • Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to understand, explain, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures per contract.
  • Provide detailed reports on daily activities and incidents that may have occurred.
  • Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios clearly and concisely.
  • Performing CPR or first aid when needed.
  • Ensure credentials are maintained per contract requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Project Manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, a General Education Degree (GED) recognized by the U.S.
  • Associates Degree
  • Two (2) years of verifiable experience as an Unarmed security officer
  • Must have a current and valid Maryland Unarmed Security Guard Card/permit
  • knowledgeable of the security industry
  • Must have a customer service driven mindset
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers/clients.
